At the Heart of Business: Our Experience at HECS 2025
The Heartland Enterprise Summit 2025 (HECS) proved once again that business solutions tailored for SMEs are not just needed — they’re in demand. Held on 14 July 2025 at the Chui Huay Lim Club, this landmark event brought together innovators, decision-makers, and changemakers all focused on growing Singapore’s heartland economy.
For us at Edgeworks Solutions, it was more than just an exhibition. It was an opportunity to demonstrate how our omnichannel business tools — from smart kiosks to AI-powered insights — can help SMEs digitize, simplify, and scale sustainably.
1. A Full Spectrum of Omnichannel Business Solutions
At the Heartland Enterprise Summit 2025, Booth B5 was more than just a showcase — it was a working demonstration of what Singapore business solutions look like in action. As attendees walked through the venue, many were drawn to our interactive setup, designed to help business owners see, touch, and experience how technology can solve their daily pain points.
We set out with one mission: to bridge the gap between traditional SME operations and modern omnichannel strategies. For many heartland businesses, adopting new technology can feel overwhelming. But once they saw how seamlessly our solutions worked — and how quickly they could integrate into their own setup — the feedback was clear: this is exactly what they’ve been looking for.
2. Self-Service Kiosks for Speed and Simplicity
Our self-service kiosk drew in plenty of curious attendees. The kiosk demonstrated how a customer could walk up, place an order, pay instantly, and receive real-time updates — all within a matter of minutes. No long training hours, no complex setup.
Many business owners mentioned how this could help free up their staff for higher-value tasks, while also offering customers the speed and autonomy they now expect. We even had a few visitors run mock transactions on the spot, which gave them a hands-on understanding of just how intuitive the system was.
Visitors explored our solutions hands-on, with enthusiastic feedback on how intuitive and scalable our system was — whether you’re running a café, chain store, or retail concept in the heartlands.
3. Centralised POS and Inventory Integration
Beyond the kiosk, we highlighted how our cloud-based Point of Sale (POS) solution integrates with inventory management, order tracking, and customer data across all channels. Whether you run a brick-and-mortar outlet, online store, or both — our system keeps everything centralised and in sync.
This resonated deeply with multi-outlet retailers and growing chains who struggle with fragmented software setups. As one visitor put it, “I’ve been using three separate systems — one for stock, one for sales, and another for online orders. If I can consolidate all that with Edgeworks, that’s a huge win.”
4. Smart Insights with AI Analytics
One of the most exciting parts of our booth experience was showing how AI-powered business insights can help SMEs move from reactive to proactive decision-making. We showcased real-time dashboards that provided key metrics like best-selling items, sales performance across outlets, and customer trends — all powered by predictive analytics.
Visitors were surprised to learn that these tools weren’t just for big brands. Even small businesses could benefit from AI recommendations, such as when to restock, how to price certain SKUs, or when customer traffic typically peaks.
5. A Real Omnichannel Experience
What truly brought everything together was the seamlessness of it all. Our solutions aren’t standalone — they’re designed to work in perfect harmony across physical stores, mobile ordering, QR menus, loyalty programs, and backend operations.
We had multiple attendees comment that this level of integration was something they didn’t think was within reach — until now. Whether it was a hawker stall owner or a boutique shop operator, the idea of running an efficient, tech-enabled business was suddenly much more tangible.
This hands-on approach helped us not just talk about Singapore business solutions, but show exactly how they apply to real-world, everyday scenarios.
A Moment of Pride: Senior Minister Visit & CNA Feature
A standout moment? When Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling dropped by our booth, engaging in a meaningful conversation about digital transformation for SMEs.
What’s more — Edgeworks Solutions made it into Channel News Asia’s coverage of the summit! It was a proud validation of the hard work our team has put into building solutions tailored to Singapore’s evolving SME landscape.
